Boysen® Permatex™ #3101

Boysen® Permatex™ #3101 is a water-based, full-bodied paint that dries to a fine rubbery coating, creating a beautiful textured finish on interior walls and ceilings bringing elegance to your home interior. It adheres easily on wood, masonry, and drywall surfaces. Conceals hairline cracks and minor surface imperfections, and dries to a fine rubbery coating that does not become brittle, leaving virtually no room for cracking, chipping, or peeling off.

Principal uses: For interior wood, drywall, and masonry surfaces.

PRACTICAL COVERAGE:
5-6 square meters / 4-liters per coat

APPLICATION:
For a regular texture pattern, apply Boysen® Permatex™ #3101 straight from the can using a regular textured roller.

If a different design is desired, first apply Boysen® Permatex™ #3101 with a regular textured roller immediately followed by the desired pattern roller while the paint is still wet and workable. Roll in one uniform direction to impress the design onto the surface.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Concrete
Allow new masonry to dry for fourteen (14) to twenty-eight (28) days under normal weather conditions. Surface to be painted should be clean and dry, free from oil, grease, dust, dirt, contaminants, and all loose grit and mortar. Treat new masonry with a solution of one (1) part Boysen® Masonry Neutralizer #44 diluted in sixteen (16) parts water, applying liberally by brush or roller. No need to neutralize in case Boysen® Acrytex™ Primer #1705 is used as primer. Let it stand overnight before rinsing with water or rough sanding to remove white crystals that form on the surface. Let dry before painting.

If repainting, remove all loose, scaling, flaking, and peeling off paint by wire brushing, scraping, or rough sanding. When necessary, use Boysen® Paint and Varnish Remover #141 but make sure that residue is completely washed off from the surface to prevent adverse reactions with succeeding coats. Let it dry. Sand smooth painted surfaces for improved inter-coat adhesion.

For chalking old latex paint, apply one (1) coat of Boysen® Chalk Blocker #7304. Let dry overnight.

In case of mildew infestation, treat affected areas with a fungicidal wash solution or household bleach mixed with water (1:3, respectively). Let the treatment overnight before wiping off residue with damp cloth. Let dry.

Wood
Use only kiln dried wood. Countersink nail heads for putty application. Sand rough wood until smooth, then dust off before painting. Surface to be painted should be clean and dry, free from dust, dirt and other foreign matter.

If repainting, remove all loose paint to sound surface. Scuff sand intact film to provide anchorage for succeeding coats. Make sure that surface to be painted is clean and dry, free from dust, dirt and other foreign matter.

Drywall
Affix drywall boards following specific standard installation guidelines by the board manufacturer. Check for paint compatibility and drying time of joint compound.

If repainting, remove all loose, scaling, flaking, and peeling off paint by wire brushing, scraping, or rough sanding. Sand smooth painted surfaces for improved inter-coat adhesion.

For chalking old latex paint, apply one (1) coats of Boysen® Chalk Blocker#7304. Let dry overnight. In case of mildew infestation, treat affected areas with a fungicidal wash solution or household bleach mixed with water (1:3, respectively). Let the treatment overnight before wiping off residue with damp cloth. Let dry.
